Eryk Dees

13/14u + High School Baseball Program Director

Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Eryk moved to Maryland with his family in the summer of 2019.  Coming from a background in education, Eryk is passionate about the baseball development process and how to best prepare players to make an impact in high school and college baseball.   Eryk was a 4-year varsity player at Coral Reef Senior High School, and was named to the Miami-Dade all county teams in 2006 and 2007.  He played his collegiate baseball at Eastern Kentucky University, until his career ended due to injury.  Eryk’s coaching career began in 2014 at Felix Varela HS, where he served as the varsity hitting and infield coach, and head JV coach.  After wrapping up the 2016 season, Eryk moved on to coach at Miami Palmetto Senior High, where he assumed the role of varsity hitting and infield coach.  While at Palmetto, the Panthers ranked #1 in batting average, on base percentage, hits, and runs scored in the region, and finished the 2017 season at the Florida state final four championship.  In 2018, the Panthers would win the Greater Miami Athletic Conference Championship, along with the district championship.  In December 2018, Eryk’s first child was born, which allowed him to transition his coaching commitment towards private training and assisting his alma mater, Coral Reef Senior High, as an offensive consultant.  While at Coral Reef, the Barracudas finished the season with their best record in school history, and as runner-ups in the Florida state final championship.  As of 2022, Eryk serves as a resource for all of our ‘big field’ teams, as they prepare to make the journey into high school and college baseball.  Assisting with everything from school coursework advice, college recruiting consultations, and everything in between that will help put our athletes in the best possible position to succeed when they enter the world.
